She was predeceased by: her parents, Lina Fuentes and Pablo Lopez; her son Orlando Cortez; her siblings, Hilaria Lopez, Petra Lopez, Cuauhtemoc Lopez, Severo Lopez and Francisco Lopez; and her grandson Noe.
She is survived by: her husband Ponciano Cortez; her children, Rudy Garza, Ponciano Cortez Jr., Adrian Cortez, Cesar Cortez, Adalberto Cortez and Omar Cortez; and her sisters, Angelita Cortez, Margarita Molina and Micaela Mendiola. She is also survived by her 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
