Marin left this world on March 27, 2025 at the age of 66, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Marin Chapa and Bertha Saenz; and his sister Gloria Chapa of Gutierrez. He is survived by: his wife Maria Azucena Cortez of Chapa; his children, Marin Chapa Jr. (Paula), San Juanita Chapa Moreno (Jhoan), Nancy Chapa-Nichols (James) and Magdalena Chapa Rodriguez (Eduardo); his grandchildren, Joseph Chapa, Daniela Chapa, Abiel Moreno, Astrid Moreno, Ava Nichols, Honor Nichols, James Nichols, Azucena Nichols, Eva Angela Rodriguez and Ezekiel Rodriguez; and his siblings, Bertha Alicia Chapa of Alvarado, Sylvia Chapa of Guerrero, Diamantina Chapa of Lopez and Juan Jose Chapa.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 at 3:00 PM, at 7:00 PM and at 9:00 PM. A Mass was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM. A burial was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Lord and I Cemetery (1203 E Goodwin Rd, Palmview, TX 78572).
