We are sad to announce that on November 28, 2020, at the age of 67, Maria Elena Herrera of Penitas, Texas, born in Mission, Texas passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Maria Elena Herrera to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cosme Cuellar and Maria Luisa Cuellar; and her sisters, Delia Castaneda, Dalia Barrera and Irma Rodriguez.
She is survived by: her siblings, Marie Fierro (Norbert), Cosme Cuellar (Nancy) and Daniel Cuellar (Victor Herrera); her children, Laura Gonzales (Michael), Stephen Herrera (Vanessa) and Karen Young (Dane); her grandchildren, Ryan, Nikki, Thomas, Elliana, Rylan Gonzales, Caroline and Stephen Charles Herrera Jr.; and her husband Victor Herrera. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In accordance with CDC safety precautions, we require everyone to wear a mask upon entering the Funeral Home and practice social distancing while inside.
Mary worked as a personnel clerk at Southwest Foundation for Biomedical Research from 1974-1979.
