He was predeceased by: his wife Maria Rita Carrales; and his son Joe Eloy Carrales III. He is survived by: his children, Jaime Carrales (Myra), Jose Elael Carrales (Janie), Elda Emma Gonzales (Richard), Eliberto Carrales (Melba), Elizardo Carrales and Elizabeth Viera (Estevan); and his brother Leo Carrales. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
