He was predeceased by: his parents, Rafael Cuevas and Lucia Cuevas (Melgar); his sister Adela; and his daughter Joana Williams. He is survived by: his wife Antonia "Anna" Moreno Esparza of Penelope; his children, Anita "Nikki" Collins (Justin) of Hewitt, Phillip Esparza Jr. (Rachael) of Penelope, Erik Esparza, Jennifer Dudik of West and John Paul Esparza (Melissa) of Penelope; his siblings, Elena, Genaro, Jesus, Angel, Francisco, Rafael, Gillermo, Teresa and Javier; his grandchildren, Corey Williams (Bobbie), Jessica Raborn (Julian), Treston Esparza, Devin Esparza, Megan Esparza, Pierce Esparza, Kaden Collins, Kash Esparza, Kayleigh Collins and Kyndall Collins; and his great grandchild Kai Raborn. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Penelope.
