He is survived by: his wife Peggy Clem Smith; his children, Clay Carson Smith, Roel Gonzalez of Austin and Amy Catherine Smith of Fort Worth; his sister Marsha Hodnett (Paul) of Hudson Oaks; his close friend Shorty B. Smith; and also Christian.
