He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Henry Heim Sr. and Mildred Havard Heim; his wife Peggy Joyce Heim; his sister Nadine Reaves; his children, John Henry Heim III (Lisa) and Allison Silva (Xavier); his grandchildren, Ryan Scott Heffron, Clayton McKee Rheinlaender and Haley Nicole Heim; and his sister-in-law Lisa Smith (Steven).
