He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George Young and Helen Young; his wife Peggy Benton; his children, Cyndy Johnson (Kyle Hedgcoth) and Jay Young; his grandchildren, Tia Johnson of Ft Worth, Taryn Stanley (Cole) and Alex Johnson (Claire); his great grandchildren, Madi Cortinaz, Abbi, Gus Cortinaz, Jack, Hailyn Ireton and Isabeau Stanley; and his nieces, Susie Harris (Walter), Kate Wheeler and Barbara Schlosser (Heinz).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson's research or charity of choice.
