She was predeceased by: her parents, Donaciano Lara and Petra Lara; and her siblings, Donaciano Lara Jr., Oscar Lara and Rebecca Prieto.

She is survived by: her husband Octavio Garcia; her children, Andrew (Marina Rodriguez), Esmeralda Rodriguez, Oscar (Salina Rodriguez) and Bianca (Isaac Abila); her sisters, Mary (Gilbert Carrillo), Olga (Herman Armendariz) and Sulema (David Flores); and her grandchildren, Justin, Hope Tarin, Maegan, John Lopez, Josh, Shelly Tarin, Jared, Kelsey Rodriguez, Ariana Abila and Mia Abila.
