She was predeceased by: her parents, Fermin Lara and Isabell Mendez Lara; her husband Manuel M. Garcia; her sons, Ralph L. Garcia and Robert L. Garcia; her grandchildren, Hope Harcrow, Angel Garcia and Omar Leyva; and her great grandchild Beau Rodriguez.

She is survived by: her children, Rudy (Frances Garcia) of Alpine, Rebecca Garcia Harcrow of Pecos and Rosie (John Leyva) of El Paso; her grandchildren, Celeste Garcia Rodriguez (Eric), Isaac Garcia (Amanda), Olivia Garcia Vasquez (Juan), Jeremy Hartnett (Daniela), Esai and Sarah Leyva; and her great grandchildren, Sonny, Stella Rodriguez, Leonardo Vazquez and Zeke Hartnett. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, friends, and three sisters.
