He is survived by: his wife Margie C. Tarin; his children, Jesus Tarin, Jr. (Irene G. Tarin), Sulema T. Casarez (Arturo Casarez), Roberto Tarin (Lori Tarin) and Dianna T. Ornelas (James Ornelas); his stepchildren, Susan Garcia, Shirley Ann DoPorto, Sandra Florez and Gary Lee DoPorto; his siblings, Jose Angel Tarin, Manuela Rodriguez, Primo Tarin, Nero Tarin, Mauela T. Rodriguez and Jose Maria Tarin, Jr.; his stepsister Manuelita Rodriguez; and his grandchildren, Adrian Tarin, Katie Tarin, Valerie Tarin, Roberto Tarin, Jr., Jazelle Tarin, Zachary Segura, Isaac Chavez, Arielle Tarin, Amanda Casarez, Andrew Casarez, Abigail Rodriguez and Christopher J. Ornelas.
