He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ildefonso 'Poncho' and Nicolasa Juarez Olivas; his wife Liria S Olivas; his siblings, Angela Gonzales and Herminio Olivas; his sons, Mario Olivas (Luzema) of Pecos and Lewis Martinez of Austin; his grandchildren, Mario Olivas Jr. of Pecos and Lydia Olivas of Pecos; and his siblings, Demencia Zubia of Presidio, Santos Salgado (Luis) of Odessa, Zulema Ramos (Otelio) of Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Lupe Olivas (Lydia) of Odessa, Pedro Olivas (Manuela) of Odessa and Eldifonso 'Poncho Olivas (Belinda) of Odessa.

Due to the ongoing standards set by the Governor's office for the COVID-19, Visitation is set for Monday May 4, 2020 from 9am-4pm.
