It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert H. Ballentine Jr. of Pearsall, Texas, born in Opelousas, Louisiana, who passed away on August 11, 2020, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Herman Ballentine and Orie Claire Ballentine (McCain). He is survived by: his wife Theresa Linda Ballentine (Terri); his children, Robert Bennett Ballentine and Mariclaire Therese Ballentine; his brother Walton Charles Dunbar; and his mother-in-law Terri Bennett.

“I've known Bob since I was a toddler in Pearsall and took guitar lessons from him for a short period of time. His father and my father were farming partners for a while back in the 70's also. I always enjoyed watching him play with Dusty Roads all over South Texas when I was growing up. He had a very kind heart and calmness about him, unmatched by no other. I never saw him get angry and never remember him in a bad mood! He was always a joy to be around, especially when he was playing music!”
