He was predeceased by: his parents, Catarino Ramirez and Luisa Palacios Ramirez; and his children, Alex Ramirez, Connie Ramirez, Cecelia Ramirez and Ester Ramirez.
He is survived by: his children, Matias Ramirez Jr. (Marivel), Jesse Ramirez, George Ramirez (Rhonda), Patsy Jewell (Joe), Diana Salinas (Conrad), Mary Vega (Robert), Josie Velazquez (Patrick), Eva Cantu (Herby), Pricilla Ramirez (Don Villarreal) and Delia Sambrano (Jesse). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
