It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lucia Martinez (Pearsall, Texas), born in Batesville, Texas, who passed away on June 13, 2019, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lorenzo Vasquez and Matiana Gomez Vasquez; her husband Rosendo Martinez; her son Raul Martinez; and her siblings, Victor, David, Lazaro Vasquez and Consuelo Vasquez.
She is survived by: her children, Mucio Martinez (Margarita) of Pearsall, Celestina Martinez (Jaime) of California, Victor Martinez (Gregoria) of New Mexico, Trinidad Martinez (Jessica) of Pearsall, Ricardo Martinez (Thelma) of Pearsall, Linda Rodriguez (Gomer) of Dilley, Sandra Martinez, Greg Dominguez of Pearsall, Maribel Martinez and Francisco Garza of Lytle; and her siblings, Rojelio, Gilberto, Alfredo Vasquez of West Texas and Victoria Ruiz of West Texas. She is also survived by 28 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
