He was predeceased by: his parents, Enrique Guajardo and Selvera Rendon; his son Carmel "Pio" Guajardo Jr.; and his siblings, Lorenzo Guajardo Sr., Roberto Guajardo Sr., Petra Hinojosa, Candelaria Elizondo, Vicenta G. Bernal and Maria G. Hernandez.
He is survived by: his children, Rebecca Guajardo and Jesse Guajardo; his brothers, Jose R. Guajardo and Tanis Guajardo; his grandchildren, Tanya Guajardo, Joby Chavera (Jose Juan), Jesse Guajardo Jr., Joseph Guajardo, Jessica Guajardo and Josephine Guajardo; and his great grandchildren, Jose Juan Chavera III, Sabian Chavera and Itzyella Chavera. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
