She was predeceased by: her parents, Esequiel Palacios and Maria Cavasos Palacios; her husband Manuel Gandara; her former husband Reymundo Benavides; her sister Paula Guajardo; and her son-in-law Hector Viesca Sr..
She is survived by: her children, Reymundo Benavidez, Christina Viesca (Alex Enriquez), Tony Benavidez (Katheryn), Ernestina (Tina) and Tommy Gandara; her grandchildren, Hector Jr. (Diamond), Tony Jr., Kassandra Rae, Kristopher Ruben, Tiffani Jenise, Joe Louis, Jolynn Marie, Faith Alexandria (Alley), Katrina, Doniven, Malayna and Xavien; and her brothers, Anselmo Palacios and Felix Palacios.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels (203 E Frio St, Pearsall, TX 78061). A rosary was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 7:00 PM. A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church (422 W Brazos St, Pearsall, TX 78061).
