He is survived by: his wife Heidi; his daughters, Sara (Justin), Grace and Kate; and his siblings, Yasmeen Tejani, Mumtaz Sewani (Iqbal), Imitiaz Dholakia (Farzana) and Almas Lakhani (Noorali). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the South Park Funeral Home (1310 N Main St, Pearland, TX 77581). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the South Park Cemetery (1310 N Main St, Pearland, TX 77581).

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the local chapter of Doctors Without Borders, an organization that Nizar supported throughout his career.
