He was predeceased by: his parents, Mercedez Arevalo and Victoriano Garcia Arevalo; his son Ruben Anthony Arevalo (Sue Ann Arevalo); and his siblings, Jose Arevalo, Felipe Arevalo, Leonor Avila, Amparo Garcia and Maria Martinez.
He is survived by: his wife Consuelo Arevalo; his sister Eduvinda Torres; his children, Joaquin Arevalo Jr., Jose Arevalo (Ana Arevalo), Arturo Arevalo (Belia Arevalo) and Monica Cuevas (Juan Cuevas); and his grandchildren, Michael Arevalo, Olivia Trevino, Zachary Arevalo, Sophia Arevalo, Ricky Sandoval, Jose Arevalo Jr., Allen Arevalo, Arturo Arevalo Jr., Ashley Arevalo, Aliza Arevalo, Ruben Arevalo Jr., Deven Arevalo, Dylan Arevalo, Annamarie Cuevas and Aidan Cuevas. He is also survived by 16 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
