He was predeceased by: his parents, John Tillman and Ilene Merritt; his sister Earnestine; his brother-in-law Bob Westbrook; his brother Billy Wayne; and his sister-in-law Delores Merritt.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann; his sons, Keith Merritt, Gary Merritt (Thyda) and David Merritt (Kimberly); his granddaughters, Megan and Tory Merritt; and his brother Mike Merritt. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, and many loving relatives and friends.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Crowder Funeral Home (2422 E Broadway St, Pearland, TX 77581). A burial was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 2:15 PM at the Houston National Cemetery.
