He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Waldo Charles Sherrill and Clara Pearl Grissett Sherrill; his siblings, George Hayden Sherrill and Mildred Maxine Sherrill; his wife Mildred Arabella Nance; his children, Charles Sherrill, Jr. (Phillis), Nance Sherrill (Phil Duncan) and Greg Sherrill (Darlene); and his grandchildren, Kristin Stratos (Nick), Kevin Sherrill (Alicia), Tammy Jones (Rick), Tracie Lynch (Bob), Terri Bagley (Brian), Trisha Swearingin (Ronnie), Philip Wayne Duncan (Julie), Ben Sherrill (Dana), Jason Sherrill (Candis) and D. J. Sherrill (Amanda). He was also cherished by 21 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
