We are sad to announce that on February 23, 2025, at the age of 95, Charles Allen Prothro of Pearland, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Lemuel Prothro; his wife Velma Faye Worthy Prothro; his mother Pauline Robinette Prothro (Polly); his parents-in-law, Jay, Octavia Worthy, Roy Jay Worthy (Aline), Claude Worthy, Cecil Worthy (Beulah), Benny Worthy (Janey) and Edward Worthy (Margie); and also Olivia Gant.
He is survived by: his children, Charlette Sandell (Randy), Denise Prothro (Lonnie) and Allen Prothro (Michelle); his grandchildren, Kelly Turner, Craig Sandell, Chaz Prothro (Jessica), Amanda Garza (Aldan) and Casey Prothro (Heydi); and his great grandchildren, Hannah Buckley (David), Samantha Gant, Madison Garza, Aviana Garza, Evan Prothro, Sophia Prothro, May Prothro, Lexi Prothro and Nathan Prudencio. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park (4955 Pine St, Beaumont, TX 77703).
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
