He is survived by: his wife Linda Short; his children, John, Tammy (Bruce Benton) and Jennifer (Mike Cody); his grandchildren, Lindsey Grant, Whitney McDonald, Joshua Short, Jordan Smith, Katherine Benton, Grace Benton, Bailey Murphy, Virginia McDowell and Jack Cody; and his great grandchildren, Liam, Kennedy, Mason, Mattie, Kaden, Leah, Jude, James, Mia, Madison, Kason, Mateo, Hanni and Julian.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Highland Cemetery Pavilion.
