He was predeceased by: his parents, Byron Bentley Richey and Clara Bee Woodby Richey; his sisters, Jeannette Gentry (Bill) and Mary Hale (Joe); and his brother-in-law T. J. Fowler.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Salter; his children, Kent Richey (Jan) of Corsicana and Susan Ballabina (Eddie) of College Station; his grandsons, Vance Ballabina, Grant Ballabina and Joshua Bowling (Steffany); his great grandchildren, Josh, Brett and Baxter Bowling; his brother Timothy White; and his sister-in-law Margaret Fowler.
