He was predeceased by: his parents, Bryant B. Kirby and Ollie Mae Roddy; his wife Versie Selph Kirby; his son Royce Wayne Kirby; and his siblings, Faye Vega, Maegene Kirby, Bonnie Cooper, Bryant Kirby, Wendell Kirby and O. C. Kirby.
He is survived by: his daughters, Peggy Claudette Morgan and Ann Lucas; his son-in-law Thomas; his grandchildren, Thomas Lucas Jr., Kevin James Lucas, Alecia Wilson (Micheal) and Jennifer Michelle Morgan (Taylor Ralston); and his great grandchildren, Tyler Bell and Natalie Wilson.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to K9S for Warriors in Royce's memory.
