She was predeceased by: her father Francisco Medellin; and her brother Javier Medellin. She is survived by: her children, Javier Alvarado (Karla Alvarado), Juan Alvarado (Yoselin Martinez) and Christy Jamshedji (Farzain Jamshedji); her grandchildren, Marily Alvarado, Lesly Alvarado, Miguel Alvarado, Isaiah Orellana, Noe Alvarado and Mauro Alvarado; her great grandchildren, Isabel Villafana, Rebekah Ruiz Escalante, Roberto Ruiz Escalante and Isidro Ruiz Escalante; and her sister Juanita Medellin.
