He was predeceased by: his parents, Candelario Carreon Alarcon and Maria Antonia Garza; his wife Maria Rosario Carreon; his children, Diana Carreon and Robert Carreon, Jr.; and his siblings, Ofelia Carreon of Lozano, Carmen Carreon of Flores and Juan Carreon.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sandra Leal-Creel (Gregory) and Adriana Carreon Tobias (Jose); his grandchildren, Jimmy Jay Leal II, Anthony Creel, Dianellie Creel, Kaylista Creel, Elizabeth Creel, Jose Angel Tobias Jr. and Daniel Tobias; his great grandchildren, Natalia Luna and Nayeli Luna; and his sisters, Graciela Handy, Maria Elena Carreon of Jesus Rodriguez and Laura Rodriguez.
