Maxine Ruth Bracker Ball Obituary
Maxine Ruth (Bracker) Ball 80 was born August 16th, 1939 to Charles and Grace (Rodenburg) Bracker. She grew up on the family farm near Neola, Iowa and graduated from Underwood High School in 1957. Upon graduation Maxine married Joseph R. Martin and had three daughters. Maxine had a passion for caring for others and began her career as a lab tech at Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs Iowa and later obtained her nursing degree in Pasadena, Texas and graduated as an RN on August 1st 1977.
She was exceptionally talented at playing the organ, piano and accordion. She also sang beautifully. She loved reading and had a large collection of miscellaneous frogs. She was a very thoughtful and generous mother and grandmother. She would help anyone in need either with a big hug (her specialty) or financially, which she did for most of her life.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard N. Ball, brothers Edward (Ed) Bracker and William (Bill) Bracker. She is survived by three daughters Ann Seawright and husband Ray Dean, Susan Williams, Jennifer Davis and husband Russell, sister Irene Winfield, brother Leon Bracker and wife Joanne, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She will be truly missed by all who knew her. Graveside service will be held 2:30 PM Thursday, July 16, 2020 at Grandview Cemetery, 8501 Spencer Hwy, Pasadena, Texas. In lieu of flowers the family suggests sending memorials to the Humane Society or the charity of your choice.
