He was predeceased by: his parents, Alphonse Louis Poirrier and Charlotte Moak Poirrier; and his wife Sylvia Poirrier. He is survived by: his children, Danny Poirrier (Cheryl), David Poirrier (Rowena), Stephen Poirrier (Leah) and Elizabeth Pierce (Scott). He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; and his beloved cat.
