He was predeceased by: his parents, Karl Edward Ash Sr. and Marion Ash (Crowther); and his brothers-in-law, Jerry Scott and James Teinert. He is survived by: his wife Jo Ann Ash (Teinert) of Pasadena; his daughters, Dana Faith Gray and Karla Ann Rhein (Tom) of Corpus Christi; his grandchildren, Blaine Gray, Brittaney Allen of Houston, Ashlyn Gray of Pasadena, Derek Rhein of Corpus Christi, Dr. Cara Gray Silvey (Phillip) of Houston and Tori Rheinwood (Amy) of Houston; his great grandchildren, Jaxon and Joanah Gray of Pasadena; and his sister Marylin Scott of Winnie. He is also survived by 4 nephews.
