With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jerry Ross Speer of Pasadena, Texas, born in Seminole, Oklahoma, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 2, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ross Speer and Pauline Speer; his sister Patty Jean Pearson; and his son-in-law Bryan Neskora. He is survived by: his wife Mary Carl Speer; his daughters, Judith McKenna, Rebecca Schaulin (Brian), Ruth Speer and Mary T. Neskora; his grandchildren, Sarah McCollum, Kathryn McKenna, Ross Neskora, Danielle "Dixie" Neskora, Pierce Neskora, Brice Schaulin, Preston Schaulin, Zane West and Garrett West; his great grandchildren, Gwendalynn Fay Alvarado, Alesis Torres, Schuyler McCollum, James Ross McCollum and Claire Neskora; his son-in-law Brian Schaulin; his in-laws, Darren McCollum, Athie Torres and Misael Alvarado; his granddaughter-in-law Brooke Neskora; and his niece Cynthia Pearson Dunn (Kevin).

Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home (8706 Almeda Genoa Rd, Houston, TX 77075). A rosary was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church (10727 Hartsook St, Houston, TX 77034).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church.
