He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerry A. Jones and Audrey Shepard Jones; his sister Jane Singletary Huene; his brother-in-law Skip Huene; his brother Haywood Jones; and also Kimette Jones Watts.
He is survived by: his wife Patsy Tipton Jones; his children, Jerry A. Jones III (Martha M.), James H. Tipton, Jr. (Michelle) and Brenda Collum; his grandchildren, Kyle Morgan Jones, James "Trey" Tipton III, Lindsay N. Jones, Rica Watts Smith, Rani Watts and Lesley Ling; and also, James Watts, Barbara, Larry Bray, Bert and Megan Singletary. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
