He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Ruth "Betti" Acton of Lake Charles, Louisiana; his children, James Earl "Duke" Acton, Elizabeth Ashley Acton Jimenez and Shannon Diane Acton Chambliss (Jerod Robert Chambliss); and his sister Jan Acton Wingo. He is also survived by his six grandchildren.
