He was predeceased by: his parents, Rebecca Gil and Jack Lawrence Abbey Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Stella Abbey; his daughter Jessica Abbey; his stepchildren, JoAnn Villa, Joe Guerra and Monica Guerra; and his sisters, Irene Hamilton, Amon Hamilton and Cindy Hamilton.
