He was predeceased by: his parents, George Huffman and Ola Mae Huffman; and his siblings, Clayton, George, Howard, Dale, Kenneth, Mavis, Ruth, June and Chloe.

He is survived by: his wife Nellie; his son Michael; his daughter-in-law Nancy of Pasadena; his grandchildren, Taylor Huffman of Houston, John Michael Erwin (Lela) of Teague and James Matthew Erwin (Kasi) of Teague; his great grandchildren, Skyler of Teague, Ashlynn of Teague, Parker of Teague and Trinity of Teague; his brother James of Teague; and his sister-in-law Lou Wilson of Teague.
