He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Demetrios Mourtakos and Marika Mourtakos (Tsanakos); his wife Evangelia Mourtakos (Riga); his son Demetrios (Sylvia Mourtakos); his grandsons, Elias and Mario; and his siblings, Kay Balouris, Alice Kapnisis and Tom Mourtacos.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Elias Mourtakos to the Saint John the Theologian Greek Orthodox Church Capital Development Fund.
