She was predeceased by: her parents, James Walton and Eula Walton; and her husband Marvin Meissner. She is survived by: her children, Douglas Meissner and Sharon Meissner Koehl (Gary Koehl); and her grandchildren, Adam Meissner, Dodie Koehl Gober (Richard Gober) and Cassy Karnes (Branden Karnes).

Clara continued to attend church regularly until Covid, but she continued to make phone calls to her Sunday School class members up until recently.
