He was predeceased by: his parents, Ascension Garcia and Dolores Garcia; and his siblings, Ascension Jr., Lucy, Richard and Gloria.

He is survived by: his wife Dolores; his daughters, Valentina Robertson, Patsy White, Pauline Sifuentes and Angie D. Lopez; and his siblings, Irene, Timothy, Joe Robert and Linda. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
