He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Irish and William (Mary Strathern); his wife Delores Marie; and his sister Mary Jean. He was also cherished by his family gather, including his three daughters and sons-in-law, eight grandchildren and their spouses, fifteen great grandchildren, four siblings, and a multitude of nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Victory (3300 Clarksville St, Paris, TX 75460). The inurnment was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at the Evergreen Cemetery (560 Evergreen St, Paris, TX 75460).
