She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, William Jackson Barnwell and Mattie Virginia Walker Barnwell; her husband James Edward Barnes; her sons, Richard Dale Barnes and Charles Anthony Barnes; and her brother James W. Barnwell (Patsy). She was also cherished by eighteen grandchildren, forty-four great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren.
