He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Neisler and Lucille Neisler (Boaz); his parents-in-law, TJ and Mary Basinger (Johnson); and his brother-in-law John Nance.

He is survived by: his wife Vicki Basinger; his children, Andy (Molly) and Jesse (Stephanie); his grandchildren, Shelby, Jonah, Kellen, Skye and Case; his sister Stella Nance (Neisler); and his siblings-in-law, Coralea, Donald Coonrod, David and Connie Basinger (Stidham).

Visitation was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Lamar Avenue Church of Christ (3535 Lamar Ave, Paris, TX 75460). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorials be made to the Lamar Avenue Church of Christ Latchkey Program or your favorite foundation.
