It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Earl Owens in Paris, Texas, born in Sulphur Springs, Texas, who passed away on March 5, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ted Owens and Monnie Keelin Owens; his wife Theda Garrison Owens; his siblings, Glenna McQuerry and Troy Owens; and his son-in-law Lyle Taack.

He is survived by: his children, Sharon Ramsey (Dan) of Blossom, Sandra Taack of Paris, Rick Johnson (Debbie) of Paris and Susan Tolleson of Paris; and his sister-in-law Vella Risinger (Billy) of Reno. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
