She was predeceased by: her parents, H. C. "Baldy" Bell and Aleine Hawkins Bell; her husband Melvin Smith; and her siblings, Donald Bell, Dossie King and Patsy Rosson.
She is survived by: her children, Doug Smith (Susan) and Peggy Cassell (Jerry); her grandchildren, Bert Smith (Jennifer), Michael Cassell (Kelli), Lacy Beshears (Josh) and Matt Cassell (Dalinda); her great grandchildren, Logyn Beshears, Morgyn Beshears, Ansley Cassell, Rylan Casssell, Kenzie Cassell and Kennedy Cassell; and her great great grandchild Rinlee Jackman. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
