He was predeceased by: his parents, T. H. Choate and Laura Choate (Raglin); his wife Donna Choate; and his sister Esther Long. He is survived by: his children, Charli Choate Scheller of Paradise and Aaron Choate (Misty) of Paradise; his stepchildren, Richie Dalton (Michelle) of Wichita Falls and Misti Sherman of Fort Worth; his sister Bertha Bright (Earl) of Granbury; his grandchildren, Candice McMeen (Cole), Tyler Scheller, Bailey Kittrell (Chance), Ethan Choate (Danielle) and Briar Choate (Ciera Brock); and his stepgrandchildren, James Dalton, Alysia Dalton, Nicole Migot, Britlyn Dalton and Cline Dalton. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews.
