He was predeceased by: his father Lawrence Emitt Fluitt; and his godson Mark Christopher Fluitt. He is survived by: his mother Elsie Snoga Fluitt of San Antonio; his children, Lauren Fluitt of Chicago, Illinois, Lawrence Fluitt III of San Antonio, Texas and Samantha Fluitt of San Antonio, Texas; his grandson Lennox Marshall; and his brothers, Brendan Fluitt (Martha) of Boerne and Bradley Fluitt (Diane) of San Antonio, Texas.. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
