With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ralph Shemwell of Panhandle, Texas, born in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, who passed away on September 28, 2021 at the age of 58. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ralph Shemwell to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Douglas Shemwell and Virginia Lee Walls Shemwell; and his sister Melanie Hicks. He is survived by: his wife MeLinda Held of Panhandle; his children, Ryan Shemwell (Shelby) of Fort Stewart, Georgia and Hanna Williams (Westin) of Panhandle; his parents-in-law, Donna and Les Held of Panhandle; his brother-in-law Brian Hicks of Panhandle; his nieces, Casey Hicks-Steward (Brandon) of Amarillo and Andie Hicks-Stewart (Hunter) of Killeen; and his great-niece Wrenley Steward of Amarillo.

In lieu of flowers his memory may be honored with a gift to the Ralph Douglas Shemwell Scholarship Fund at Happy State Bank.
