It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Marie Gabel of Panhandle, Texas, born in Amarillo, Texas, who passed away on December 30, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Metcalf and Madelyn Metcalf; her husband Jim; her siblings, Floyd and Frances Sinclair; and her children, Lynette Wright and Brice Gabel.

She is survived by: her sons, Dale (Cindy) and Leland (Lana) of Panhandle. She is also survived by 20 great grandchildren, 4 great, great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
