It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Santa Ana Castro of Pampa, Texas, who passed away on February 8, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Heron Castro Lopez and Marcelina Paniagua Pardo Lopez; her son Manuel Hernandez; and her siblings, Lorenzo Castro, Guadalupe Castro, Maria Castro and Cecilia Castro.
She is survived by: her husband Luis Hernandez; her children, Luz Maria Aguilar (Thomas) of Pampa, Leo Hernandez of Lamar, Ana Enciso (Raul) of Pampa, Adriana Hernandez of Pittsburg and Nancy Hernandez of Pampa; and her siblings, Jaime Castro, Leonel Castro, Lilia Castro, Leticia Castro, Alfonso Castro and Margarita Castro. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Carmichael - Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory (600 N Ward St, Pampa, TX 79065). A rosary was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Carmichael Whatley Colonial Chapel (600 N Ward St, Pampa, TX 79065). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church (810 W 23rd Ave, Pampa, TX 79065).
