She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Brown and Lucille Brown; and her husbands, Robert Ellison III (Kenneth Gipson), Gregory Barber Sr., Jeri Beauford-Ellison and Victor Chico Ellison.
She is survived by: her child Valencia Barber; her grandchildren, Christopher, Dion, Viante, Addison, Alexandria, Gregory Jr. and Sidnee; her stepchildren, Leann, Robby and Chris; and her siblings, Myrtle Bea Robinson, Joyce, Eddie Osbourne, Bobbie, Elisha Demerson, Ella, Howard Newson, Nadine, Terrance Simmons, Sanford Brown, Frankie Brown and Virgil (Bridgett Brown).
