She was predeceased by: her father Bill McDowell; and her siblings, Billy Ray McDowell and Mary Annette Hunter. She is survived by: her mother Mary McDowell; her children, Sammy Shackelford (Leslie) of Pampa and L. Beth Shackelford of Pampa; her grandson Johnathen Shackelford of Pampa; her brother Rodney McDowell of Lefors; her brother-in-law Jim Borger of Lafayette, Louisianna; and her pet Dixie. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Carmichael - Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory (600 N Ward St, Pampa, TX 79065). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Carmichael Whatley Colonial Chapel (600 N Ward St, Pampa, TX 79065).
